Orphan Annie is a Thoroughbred foal expected to have been born on June 1st, 2026. She was rescued by Citrus County Animal Services from the large animal seizure case in Dunnellon where 92 animals were seized off of 5 acres. She brought to Equine Medical Center of Ocala in order to get the antibodies as her mom was put down when authorities got to the scene and the Annie received no colostrum. On discharge, I adopted her. She was recovering from a mild bout of an umbilical infection and pneumonia. After a few days of care, Annie developed some gastrointestinal issues and on 06/16 she was readmitted to the hospital. Annie is still on supportive care and unfortunately, due to the nature of the issues, it has cost quite a bit of money. In order to be able to get Annie all of the support she needs, I have set up this GoFundMe to offset some of the costs.
